Memories of our friend, Tom Copley

Tom will always be remembered as a man who not only had a really good, strong, Christian faith, but a man who was always ready and willing to talk about his faith.

I had the privilege of sitting next to Tom at Bourne Methodist Church, every Sunday morning, over many years.

We would often sit and talk after the service was over about our own faith in Jesus.

Tom, as you know, was a very big reader of Christian books - he also loved listening to Christian words and music; he would often talk about what he had read or listened to during that week.

The bible played a very big part in Tom's life and again, he would often quote many passages of scripture in our conversations.

One of his favourites was John, chapter 10 verse 10 - Jesus said, "I have come in order that you might have life and have it in all its fulness", Tom fully understood those reassuring words of Jesus.

I know that we will all have our own memories of Tom,

A man who lived out his faith,

a man who spoke about his faith,

and a man who influenced many others by the faith he had in Jesus.
